| How to book your trip
Our groups are small, so space is limited. We recommend
that you call as early as possible to ensure space is available
on your desired departure date. Many guests book about a year
in advance.

A $500 deposit will hold your place on most of our safaris.
Private and custom trips, the North & South Safari and
the Luxury Lodge Safari require a $700 per person deposit.
Africa Through the Lens requires a minimum $1200 deposit.
Any extensions require an additional $200 minimum deposit.
For any of our December Holiday departures, an additional
$200 deposit is required.
Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted
for your trip deposit.
Single supplement
Each trip has a single supplement fee for those traveling
without a companion. However, if you are traveling alone and
would like to share a room, every effort will be made to match
you with a roommate. We will invoice you for the single supplement
initially, and delete the charge if you are matched with a
roommate.

Special Booking Conditions (Valid for new bookings
made between October 3, 2008 and December 31, 2008.)
Deposits
A deposit for the appropriate amount is required to reserve
your space. This deposit is refundable. Visa, MasterCard or
American Express credit cards are accepted for the initial
deposit.
Payments
You will be invoiced upon making a reservation, and full
payment is due 60 days prior to the first land day of any
trip departing before March 31, 2009, OR
90 days prior to the first land day of any trip departing
after April 1, 2009. Payment is accepted as follows: 1) U.S.
Dollar check posted to our U.S. office 2) by wire transfer
to our account at the Cambridge Trust Company, Cambridge,
MA.
Cancellation and Refunds
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing to
Thomson Safaris. At the time we receive the cancellation,
the following cancellation charges will apply:
- For trips departing before March 31, 2009:
Up to 61 days before departure: No cancellation penalty
60-51 days before departure: 50% of the package price
50-46 days before departure: 65% of the package price
45 days or less before departure: 100% of the package price
Within 60 days prior to departure cancellation fees will
apply. You may also be responsible for any fees imposed
by hotels, airlines etc., that are over and above your
land arrangements, due to your cancellation of your original
date bookings.
- For trips departing after April 1, 2009:
Up to 91 days before departure: No cancellation penalty
90-61 days before departure: 50% of the package price
60-46 days before departure: 65% of the package price
45 days or less before departure: 100% of the package price
Within 90 days prior to departure cancellation fees will
apply. You may also be responsible for any fees imposed
by hotels, airlines etc., that are over and above your

Please note that no partial refunds will be given for unused
meals, hotel rooms, airport transfers etc., for any reason
whatsoever. Thomson Safaris reserves the right to increase
the tour price in the event of cost increases due to changes
in airfares, currency fluctuations, park fee increases or
fuel surcharges. Thomson Safaris reserves the right to alter
the tour without notice.
Thomson Safaris is not responsible for expenses incurred
by trip members in preparing for the trip (e.g. visa fees,
immunizations, insurance, equipment, etc.) or for any necessary
additional travel arrangements should you embark from home
before the group departure date. Accommodations are subject
to change.
